A MISCONDUCT hearing into the alleged behaviour of Avon and Somerset Chief Constable Nick Gargan got underway yesterday (Monday, June 29).
Mr Gargan is accused of making inappropriate advances towards female staff, which he denies.
He was sent home on full pay on May 13 last year by Police and Crime Commissioner Sue Mountstevens.
The closed door hearing being heard by the Independent Police Complaints Commission is expected to last up to ten days.
On completion, the independent panel will report to Ms Mounstevens, who will then decide on Mr Gargan's future.
