FIRE crews had to cut a person from a car following a traffic accident in Ilchester tonight (November 8).
Fire appliances from Yeovil and Somerton were called to reports of the accident, which involved two vehicles, on the A372 Red Post Cross at 5.46pm.
Police and an ambulance also attended the scene, where fire crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the vehicle doors and roof in order to allow better access to the casualty.
The injured person was freed before being left in the hands of the ambulance service.
