Bridgwater College is busy preparing for one of its annual art exhibitions next month.

The 'Spaces and Places' exhibition, held in the Energy Skills Centre at the College, displays work by students from the Foundation Art and Design course and visual art students from the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

Programme Manager Mark Bunce said: “It showcases the culminations of several years of creative study, and encouraged students to explore spaces and places in terms of experience, function, significance, contradiction and idiosyncrasy.

“The results demonstrate the exemplary creative talent and relentless determination of our students.”

Many students are are preparing to progress to university. One such student is 20-year-old Joe Wheaton, from Bridgwater, who just found out he has been accepted to study for a BA (Hons) in Drawing and Applied Arts at the University of the West of England.

The exhibition opens on Thursday, April 19, from 5pm to 7pm. It runs from Tuesday 24 to Friday 27 April from 10am to 4pm daily. Entry is free. To bring a group or school party along, contact Mark Bunce, Programme Manager for Art and Design, on 01278 455464 or via buncem@bridgwater.ac.uk
