PUPILS at Hamp Junior School in Bridgwater proudly show off letters they were sent by the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
Before April’s Royal Wedding, pupils wrote messages of congratulations to William and Kate in handmade cards, which were sent off to the royal private secretary.
Now each child has received a letter of thanks from St James’ Palace.
The letters pass on the thanks of the Duke and Duchess for the “very kind letter and card that accompanied all the wonderful cards which the children made in connection with their wedding.”
Teacher Elizabeth White said: “We were very pleased to get a letter back; all the children were very surprised when they received their letters in assembly.”
