PUPILS at North Petherton Junior School have raised £580 for the Sedgemoor Rotary Club’s effort in fighting worldwide polio.
The keen fundraisers enjoyed a non-school uniform day as well as organising a fun-filled fair to collect as much money as they could for the club.
Gordon Fraser from the Sedgemoor Rotary Club visited the school to give an interesting talk on how the rotary club was founded and how they help towards the fight of eradicating polio.
Head teacher Louise Chamberlain said: “It was a very interesting talk and the children did so well in organising the day and raising so much money.”
