CHILTON Trinity students are aiming to raise the funds needed to start a new archery club.
The students hope to get the club off the ground after discovering that their new design technology teacher, Hannah Giles, is a qualified archery coach.
The project is also receiving support from Somerset coach Paul Maines, who was part of the 2012 Olympic archery team, who hopes to help the students target their own Olympic dreams.
The school says that students can learn a range of life skills from the sport and cross-curricular links including maths, physics, and history.
Hannah said: “We’re already seeing a big interest from students, which is very exciting.” “I’m looking forward to introducing them to the ever-growing sport."
