STUDENTS at Robert Blake Science College have bagged prizes for their perfect attendance.
Some 40 students with 100% attendance records were put into a draw, and the lucky winners were Holly Rees, from year 11, and Jordan Reed, from year nine, who each won £100 of “love to shop” vouchers.
Henry White, from year 11, and Lili Ibbotson, in year nine, each won £50 runner-up prizes.
The vouchers were donated by the school’s PTA.
A school spokesman said: “Attendance at Robert Blake Science College is high at 95% and these great outcomes are due to a combination of supportive parents, robust tracking systems, dedicated tutors and progress leaders as well as the relentless efforts of all staff.
“There is a discernable buzz about the school about attendance and everybody is pulling their efforts towards achieving the best possible outcomes.
“Parents are reminded not to take medical appointments or family holidays within term time as all the students know that good attendance enables them to achieve higher grades.”
