STUDENTS from years seven to ten at Robert Blake Science College had a fantastic time during their Curriculum Day - when they experienced a range of activities they would not normally have the opportunity to enjoy.

Year seven students had a trip to Chepstow Castle and Tintern Abbey, where they got real-life experience of the projects they have been studying in history and philosophy, sociology and religion lessons.

All 152 year eight students went to Great Wood for their Learning Challenge Day.

They learnt how skills developed in the natural environment can benefit them as learners in the classroom.

Students in year nine followed the theme of The Beauty of Maths, and improved their mathematical understanding by designing and making a scale-size version of the Vitruvian Man.

Year ten students prepared for adult life by spending the day learning about road safety and awareness. They got the chance to drive cars around the sports court, accompanied by an instructor to show them the potential pitfalls of unsafe behaviour on the roads.
