A CORONER said exposure to asbestos was the reason for the death of Bridgwater mechanic and bricklayer Stuart Coram, 64, of Taunton Road.
At an inquest on Thursday, West Somerset Coroner Michael Rose warned: “Asbestos-related deaths will reach a peak in the next few years because it took a long time for people to wake up to its dangers.”
A VERDICT of death by natural causes was recorded at an inquest into the death of a Bridgwater woman on Thursday.
Linda Stephens, 52, of Coral Court, was found dead in her bed on November 17 last year. The medical cause of death was pneumonia.
A FIFTEENTH century sliver-gilt ring was unearthed by a metal detecting enthusiast in the grounds of Maunsell House, North Newton, Thursday's inquest heard.
The finder, from Blandford, in Dorset, is likely to be allowed to keep the treasure.
