The walk is part of Towpath Tidy, a British Waterways’ initiative to look after the nation’s waterways, running from March 1-14.
Bridgwater MP Ian Liddell-Grainger said: “Towpath Tidy is a great way for local people to get involved and help look after the historic Bridgwater and Taunton Canal in their area.
“The canal is a great resource, a piece of working heritage and a fantastic place to spot wildlife.
“I’ll be joining forces with British Waterways people to help keep the canal clean and tidy on Saturday and look forward to meeting other local volunteers.”
