THESE youngsters were among the walkers who raised £1,000 in memory of four-year-old Dylan Cecil on Saturday (September 8).

The event was organised by four Bridgwater mums who were touched by the death of Dylan (below), who was swept out to sea in Burnham last month.

They raised money for emergency services charities and a memorial with a five-hour walk from Sainsbury’s in Bridgwater to Burnham.

One of the organisers, Sarah White, 35, of Hamp, said: “It was a long journey, but worth it.

"I was surprised by all the people who turned out to join us – they really spurred us on to Burnham.”
