A FINANCE officer at Hinkley Point power station has swapped her Sedgemoor desk for the bright lights of London to help at the Paralympic Games.
Louise Savage, who lives near Ashcott, has been working as a ‘Gamesmaker’ and helping to ensure rowing events at Eton Dorney run smoothly.
She said: “I think my organisational skills helped clear the way into the final stages of training.
“I met some inspiring individuals during the training that made the opportunity even more of an honour for me.
“Everyone was really friendly and I’m excited and proud to be part of it all.”
As well as Louise, Hinkley site inspector Bruce Eyley and operations engineer Pete Vaiders will also be acting as Gamesmakers.
Louise is pictured with fellow Hinkley Point worker Dave Stokes, who carried the Olympic flame through the South-West earlier this year.
