THESE teenagers from Somerset County Council’s project Young People Somerset took part in a TriChallenge to raise money for two charities.

The youngsters began their challenge at Bridgwater Docks, paddling down the canal to the town’s YMCA – one of the chosen charities – before climbing onto their bikes.

They then rode to Maunsel House where they were greeted by owner Sir Benjamin Slade and given a guided tour of the property.

Next up was a bike ride to Bathpool and back, before completing the last phase of the challenge back to Bridgwater on foot.

As well as the YMCA, the challenge was completed on behalf of the Bridgwater-based Headway charity.

Alison Mills, of Headway, said: “It’s great to see young people take part in a totally new challenge and we all had a fun time getting involved.

“We don’t know how much has been raised yet but they have helped raise awareness of both Headway and the wonderful facilities at the YMCA.”
