HUNDREDS of excited youngsters took over Apex Park last week for a series of events marking National Play Day.
Children of all ages took part in activities and sports including rugby, badminton, climbing and sailing at the Burnham park.
This free family event had more than 40 activities on offer and was funded by groups including Sedgemoor District Council, Taunton and Sedgemoor Children Centres, Somerset County Council Early Years, QuEST, 2 Masonic Lodges and Bridgwater Lions.
Apex Park’s Green Flag was raised by Sedgemoor District Council chairman Cllr Gill Slocombe, signifying to visitors the parks are well maintained and managed.
