A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured following a collision with a cattle lorry in Bridgwater.

Details of the incident, which happened at 11.30am on Sunday, June 17, have only just been released by police.

A Baotian motorbike and a Mercedes cattle lorry collided with each other at the junction of Bower Lane and Whitfield Road in East Bower.

The motorcyclist suffered a serious injury as a result of the collision.

An investigation has begun to establish the circumstances leading to the incident. Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101.

More outstanding work with the choice of photo to accompany this report. Wonder if the Mercury has a gallery full of pictures of police cars zoomed in at odd angles, ready to accompany any given story?
