A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured following a collision with a cattle lorry in Bridgwater.

Details of the incident, which happened at 11.30am on Sunday, June 17, have only just been released by police.

A Baotian motorbike and a Mercedes cattle lorry collided with each other at the junction of Bower Lane and Whitfield Road in East Bower.

The motorcyclist suffered a serious injury as a result of the collision.

An investigation has begun to establish the circumstances leading to the incident. Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101.
