SEDGEMOOR District Council chairman Cllr Gill Slocombe and her husband Pete attended the Queen’s Garden Party as part of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.

Cllr Slocombe, pictured at the Buckingham Palace event, said: “We were honoured to represent Sedgemoor District Council.

“We were very fortunate to be placed just in front of the Queen, Prince Philip, Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge. It was a marvellous day and we were very lucky with the weather.”
