MEMBERS of a young production group have received good wishes from music legend Cliff Richard for their production of Summer Holiday, which Cliff himself starred in during the 1960s.

Polden Musical Youth Productions were surprised and excited to receive two signed photo messages from Cliff – one addressed to the company and one to Emily Thorne, who is playing Alma in the stageshow.

The messages were sent after Emily’s mum, whose company Silk Steps organised a specialist holiday for him, told Cliff the group was to stage the show.

A spokesman for the group said: “We are very pleased that he felt he wanted to send us his good wishes and that he took the time to do this.”

The show will be performed at Edington Village Hall next week from Wednesday to Saturday.

Tickets are on sale at Edington Village Hall and can be bought Monday to Friday from 10am to noon.
