A SCHOOLGIRL from Bridgwater made it to the top 100 entries in a story competition run by Radio 2.
Nine-year-old Madison Hellard, of St Mary’s Primary School, entered her 500-word ‘Mirror Mirror’ among 74,000 entries and got through the first and second rounds.
She said: “I had no idea my story had done so well. I’m pleased it got so far.”
Madison’s story was about a selfish boy who gets sucked through a mirror into an alternate world.
Her class teacher Luke Kelly said: “I am really proud one of our pupils progressed so far.”
