Bridgwater Friends of Cancer Research UK are holding several fundraising events in the coming months in a bid to raise £120,000.
The charity is funding Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton to run two clinical research trials into prostate cancer, and head and neck cancer.
On Wednesday, May 23, there will be a fashion show at North Petherton Community Centre at 7.30pm.
On Saturday, July 14, there will be a talent show at Bridwater Arts Centre from 6pm, and a dog show takes place at Westonzoyland Community Centre on Sunday, July 22.
In September there will be a half-marathon, and on Friday, September 14, a zumbathon will take place at Junction 24.
Christmas bingo will be held at St George’s Newtown Hall, Kendale Road, Bridgwater, on Friday, November 23, and on Saturday, December 1, there will be collections at Angel Place shopping centre.
There will also be mass collections at every main Tesco store from Friday, October 26, to Sunday, October 28.
