Unattended pan causes kitchen fire

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a kitchen fire at a house in Bridgwater this afternoon.

Crews from Taunton attended the incident in Sedge Close, Hamp, at about 1.30pm.

The fire, caused by a pan left unattended on a cooker hob, had been extinguished before their arrival.

They moved the cooker outside and ventilated the property.
