SUSPECTED heroin, stolen scrap metal, alloy wheels, and ten bicycles were uncovered in two raids in Bridgwater.
Police stormed a flat today and found a quantity of class A drugs, which they believe to be heroin, and scrap metal - allegedly stolen in a spate of raids on industrial estates in the town.
Two men and a woman were arrested and quizzed at Bridgwater police station.
PC Adrian Peck of Bridgwater police said: “This action is a direct result of the police and the community working together.
“Drug use and the crime committed to fund that drug use can cause misery to our local communities. In this case, the community has spoken out and local officers have responded accordingly.”
In another raid at a home in Bridgwater last Monday, officers found scrap metal, alloy wheels, and ten bicycles - all believed to be stolen.
A 26-year-old man was arrested and released on bail.
Police are now warning businesses and farms to be on their guard against scrap metal thieves.
PC Peck added: “The global rise in the cost of metal has unfortunately made it a very sought after commodity.”
Bridgwater Insp Shane Carey said: “We want to thank the public and our partners for their contribution and information.
“They play a vital part in the policing of our local communities. We are committed to addressing local concerns.”
