THIS year’s Bridgwater Bolt 10k is set to take place on Sunday, April 29 at 10am - with the largest ever turnout expected for the race.

Since its launch eight years ago, the Bridgwater Bolt has gone from strength to strength, more than doubling in size with up to 700 runners expected to line up this year.

Last year’s event attracted 638 runners and was a sell out and places for the 2018 race have been increased to meet demand with 660 runners already signed up.

The Bridgwater Bolt is popular because it is ideal for novice runners or for those trying for a personal best. The route takes runners through the villages of Chilton Trinity and Wembdon on a mix of urban roads and quiet country lanes.

Registration is at 8.15am in the Sports Hall and the Junior 1k Fun Run at 10.15am is a great opportunity for young runners to take part and take home their very own medal. Registration is on the day with a £2.50 entry fee.
