EASTOVER Park bowling club will be holding an open day on Saturday, April 21 from 2.30pm.
Club secretary Rod Stoodley said the club is hoping to attract some new members into playing bowls and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
For this year new players will be able to enjoy free bowling for one month to pick up some tips and advice from the experienced team.
Mr Stoodley said: “We will be holding teaching bowls evenings throughout the season and hope to train up many new faces.
“The bowling green has been nurtured and well cared for during the winter and is in excellent condition for this years opener.
"It is anticipated that many of last years group of members will return for another season but we are very short of lady players and are very keen to recruit some extra ladies to the team."
Guests will be given bowls to try out and for more information contact Rod Stoodley on 07984 040495.
