A LUCKY Wedmore household has scooped £1,000 in the People's Postcode Lottery.
The lucky Blakeway resident, who plays with the postcode BS28 4UE, netted the Daily Prize on Wednesday, April 4.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, Danyl Johnson, was on hand to offer his congratulations.
He said: “Well done to our Wedmore winner - I really hope they enjoy spending their prize.
"Make sure you sign up today with your postcode to be in with a chance of winning.”
A minimum of 32% of ticket sales for the lottery goes directly to charities and players have raised £282 million to date for 4,000 good causes across Great Britain and internationally, a spokesman said.
One cause close to the winner that players have helped to support is Keynsham Wombles.
The group was awarded £2,000 last year to develop a scheme that aims to reduce the amount of litter in the area.
