THREE tech-savvy teens from Bridgwater & Taunton College, Becca, Nikita and Ryan, have been announced as winners in the national Apps for Good Awards 2017.

On Monday, February 26 they will celebrate the launch of their app ‘Recall Aid’, which has been developed with the support of SAP, on Google Play and Apple App store.

Recall Aid is designed to help users increase their organisational skills, by providing them with the opportunity to view where objects that are hard to keep track of are kept.

The app helps users plan what they need for different activities and recall where they have left items instinctively, rather than them having to spend time looking for them.

The team originally came up with the idea when Ryan mentioned how often he forgot where to put things, and then where to find them.

Asked about the project, the three students said: “Our own lack of experience with the industry was a little jarring, and in the beginning, we were all a little overwhelmed, but once we knew our part we were able to commit ourselves fully and really enjoy seeing the app come to life.

"We were very surprised during the process when we learned the way that the industry really worked, and we were especially taken aback finding out how much legal consideration has to go into the creation of an app."
