DOUBT continues to remain over KFC branches in Taunton and Bridgwater following delivery chaos over the weekend.

Bridgwater and Taunton KFC were forced to close on Saturday (February 17) after a hiccup with deliveries meant the stores ran out of chicken.

Staff at Bridgwater KFC say they are hoping to open today but are currently waiting on a delivery.

Taunton KFC says they will remain closed as deliveries of chicken have not yet made it to the store.

An employee at Bridgwater KFC, said: "We are hoping to open today as we are waiting for a delivery.

"We are unsure of what time the delivery will come but we hope it will come before tea-time."

Stores in Glastonbury, Frome, Wincanton and Weston-super-Mare have also been affected by the delivery problems.

A number of residents have spoken out in anger on social media about the closures.

KFC has not given any notice as to when operations will be back to normal.
