TIME for another moan about cyclists. Not all cyclists but just a particular group. I’ve mentioned before about my irritation with cyclists who don’t follow the highway code but over the last week I have encountered a number who have decided that its absolutely fine to ride around in the dark with no lights and wearing dark clothes.

In addition they have taken to swinging straight onto a zebra crossing without looking to see if there is anything coming. All drivers like to think that we have great reactions and reflexes but it really isn’t a good idea for you, as a cyclist, to test our reaction times by acting irresponsibly.

Sadly if either gets it wrong there is only ever going to be one outcome. Please take care and use a little bit of common sense.

Did you make a New Years Resolution this year? If so, have you managed to keep it up now that we are halfway through the first month of 2018 already?

It’s true what they say in that time appears to go faster as you get older, it seems only yesterday we were welcoming in the new year.

I deliberately don’t make any resolutions these days.

I haven’t smoked in way over twenty years, I rarely drink and I try to be fairly sensible with what I eat.

If you have set yourself some goals for this year though, I hope you have managed to stick to them and that you achieve your target. If you’ve fallen off the trail, pick yourself up, dust yourself down and start again. You can do it. You know what they say, if at first you don’t succeed, don’t take up skydiving.
