RETIRED primary school teacher Gladys Annie proved age is no barrier to knowledge in 1988 after securing an Open University Credit at the age of 87.
Mrs Annie, of Church Road, Middlezoy, was one of the OU's first students in 1971 and achieved two degrees before her latest credit - her tenth.
She was previously a teacher at Baltonsborough Primary School and an avid reader and globe trotter.
