PREMIER Inn is to open a 100-bed hotel at the £150 million Bridgwater Gateway business park in Somerset.

The hotel will be located on one on the frontage plots on the southern side of the entrance to the 100-acre site, off J24 of the M5 motorway.

Phil Wade, development manager for Bridgwater Gateway, said: “Premier Inn is an award-winning hotel brand that is the largest in the UK, and is renowned for providing well-priced quality accommodation in prominent locations.

“We are delighted Bridgwater Gateway has been chosen as the setting for their latest hotel, and we know it will play an important role in meeting huge demand for hotel rooms in the area as a result of factors such as construction of Hinkley Point C power station, and the proximity of Bristol Airport.”

Paul Smith, acquisition manager for Premier Inn, said Bridgwater was a great location for the company, who will be investing £8.6m in the new hotel, creating 32 year-round jobs.

Bridgwater Gateway is the newest business park development on the M5 corridor. The first phase of will feature a range of new office and commercial buildings, together with a new 150 bed 4* hotel with conference facilities that will be in addition to the Premier Inn.
