WHETHER you’ve had an appearance in your local newspaper, met a celebrity on a night out, or you’ve been made into a meme, everyone has had their 15 minutes of fame.
Carphone Warehouse, one of the UK’s leading mobile phone retailers, is calling on self-declared minor celebrities in its new monthly #BeatThePixel competition.

The smartphone retailer is asking people around the UK to submit comments, pictures and videos about their time in the limelight, no matter how big or small.
People can submit their tale with a picture or video via their website with the overall winner awarded a £100 Love2Shop voucher.

Carphone Warehouse’s #BeatThePixel competition has set people a series of challenges over the last few weeks themed around ‘15 minutes’ – the time it takes for the new Google Pixel to provide enough charge for up to seven hours use.
A spokesperson at Carphone Warehouse, said: “Everyone has had a brush with fame at some point in their life, whether it was a selfie with their favourite celebrity or having a video go viral.
“We thought this challenge would be fun, and we can’t wait to hear about everyone’s 15 minutes of fame.”
