A TUMBLE dryer has been completely destroyed and a property has sustained smoke damage after a fire in Bridgwater.
Firefighters were called to Ash Close at 9.30pm yesterday (September 3) after reports of a fire.
Three appliances from Bridgwater attended the incident.
On arrival crews confirmed there was a small fire in a tumble dryer and that one person was still missing within the property.
Crews got to work using four breathing apparatus and carrying out search and rescue of the property.
Crews confirmed all services were isolated to the property.
At 9.58 pm crews confirmed the fire was extinguished, and crews got to work ventilating the building.
Crews confirmed the fire was caused accidentally and that all persons were accounted for.
The tumble dryer was 100 per cent damaged by the fire and the property was 80 per cent smoke damaged.
