TWO lanes closed following a crash on the M5 Southbound near Bridgwater this morning have now re-opened.
A caravan overturned in the incident and there have been up to 40 minutes of delays between J23 Bridgwater North and J24 Bridgwater South.
Normal traffic conditions are now in place but there are still long tailbacks as a result of the incident.
Firefighters from Bridgwater and Burnham were called to the scene at 6.44am.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Upon arrival crews confirmed this was a single vehicle road traffic collision in lanes two and three.
"There was one person still inside single the vehicle and caravan which had jack-knifed and was still attached to the vehicle.
"Crews got to work stabilising the vehicles and make vehicle safe."
It has been a crash-laden morning in the Bridgwater area with reports of a crash at Penel Orlieu at the junction with Broadway leaving the road partially blocked, and reports of another incident on Park Lane in North Petherton.
