A WOMAN was taken to hospital after having to be freed from a car crash.
Fire crews were called to reports of a traffic collision outside the Boat and Anchor pub, at Huntworth, at 9.11 pm yesterday (Friday).
The incident involved two vehicles and one of the cars was left straddling the verge next to a ditch, with a woman still inside.
Crews stabilised the vehicle and provided casualty care.
They then set up hydraulic rescue equipment and removed the car from the ditch before immobilising the casualty and giving her first aid.
She was then removed from the car and taken to hospital by ambulance.
