BRIDGWATER’S new Thai School opened with a colourful ceremony at the Bridgwater and Albion Rugby Club.
The Thai ambassador joined the Mayor of Bridgwater Alex Glassford at the event to open the Rak Thai School on Saturday, April 15.
The day opened with Thai Buddhist monks holding a ceremony, followed by traditional singing and dancing.
Guests enjoyed a variety of delicious Thai food and the event coincided with Songkran, the Thai new year.
The school has been set up by Kung Langridge to cater for the growing Thai population in the Bridgwater area, but also for anyone interested in learning Thai.
