BRIDGWATER'S fighting superstar Mark Godbeer has had his next UFC bout announced.

The heavyweight fighter will take on American Justin Willis at UFC Fight Night Glasgow on Sunday, July 16.

Heavy-hitter Mark Godbeer will look to add another record to his professional record against newcomer Willis, who will be making his debut in front of the Scottish crowd.

Godbeer, 33, will be looking to build on his win in his previous fight at UFC 209 in Las Vegas where he outlasted Daniel Spitz to claim a unanimous decision victory.

“It feels great to get my first UFC win,” Godbeer said. “The nerves still got to me, and it showed in my performance. I gassed a little bit, and I will admit it. The fans don’t need to get at me. I held tight. I stayed in there. The nerves of being in Las Vegas, and I still got the win.”

For Godbeer, the win was a nice rebound from a disappointing submission loss in his UFC debut last November. Spitz suffered the first loss of his career.

Tickets for UFC Fight Night Glasgow will go on sale on Friday, June 2 at 10am via Ticketmaster.
