MORE than 120 cannabis plants have been seized from a unit on the Colley Lane industrial estate.

Police were initially given the tip off after a member of the public reported a strong smell of cannabis coming from one of the units on the Blake industrial park on Tuesday, March 14.

A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "Officers attended the unit on Brue Avenue the following morning (Wednesday, March 15) and gained entry, finding a cannabis factory.

"A total of 124 cannabis plants were seized and a 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of producing a control drug of class B and also for the possession of criminal property."

The man has been released on bail until March 5.
