KRISS Akabusi, one of the heroes of Britain's gold medal-winning 4x400m relay squad at the European Championships in Stuttgart, joined forces with world trampoline champion Carl Furrer to help raise funds for sports facilities at Hamp Junior School in Bridgwater.
The superstar pair are pictured surrounded by excited youngsters on their arrival.
From the Bridgwater Mercury, November 12, 1986.
Mr Akabusi certainly remembers his trip to Somerset!
