DO YOU think you're an award-winning apprentice?

Education provider SS&L has teamed up with other education providers in Somerset to laumch the Grow Somerset Talent Apprenticeship Awards 2017.

The awards champion and celebrate apprenticeships, traineeships and employers throughout Somerset.

So if you are an employer with an outstanding apprentice who you think deserves some recognition, or if you know of an amazing apprentice then now’s the time to nominate them.

Entries for the Apprenticeship Awards close on Monday, January 16, culminating with a popular ceremony on March 10 - the last day of National Apprentice Week 2017 - at The Holiday Inn in Taunton.

The event will celebrate the success of the great apprentices and their employers in Somerset.

The awards recognise apprentices of all levels, from Intermediate Apprentice of the Year, Advanced Apprentice of the Year and Higher Apprentice of the Year as well as Trainee of the Year for those undertaking a traineeship.

The judges are looking for apprentices who have demonstrated a level of commitment that goes above and beyond their duties, highlighting their addition to the business and the value they bring.

The awards will also acknowledge employees through the Employee of the Year Awards, by asking businesses to nominate employees whose role it is to mentor apprentices.

Sally Winkworth, curriculum manager at SS&L, said: “We are very proud to be working with Grow Somerset Talent for the sixth year.

"SS&L has over 20 years of apprenticeship experience and the awards are a great way to mark the success of outstanding apprentices and employers.

"But it’s also a good opportunity to showcase the benefits of apprenticeships and what they can do for the prospects of young people and the benefit they bring to employers throughout Somerset.

"SS&L apprenticeships are one of the best ways to gain qualifications, receive training in the workplace and earn a salary in a rewarding job role, all at the same time.”

To nominate an apprentice or employee please apply through your learning provider and submit your completed entry by noon on Monday January 16th 2017.
