DIVERSITY Voice in Bridgwater will be celebrating St Nicholas Day.

The event will take place on Sunday, December 4 at Victoria Park Community Centre hall in Bridgwater.

Children of all ages will come, together with their parents.

The party will be a great opportunity to meet friends and new people and to learn about Christmas customs.

There will even be a visit from Father Christmas who will deliver presents and there are plenty of fun activities planned together with refreshments for all.

Iwona Koza, organiser of the event, said: "This is an exciting time for children, as it is the only place in Somerset where celebration takes place.

"There will be a play with Pete the Poet, Christmas quiz and games for children. At the end, Father Christmas will come to children to give little gifts to everyone.

"We hope that our work with children and young people will benefit children, but also their parents. We expect turn up of around 200 people or more at Victoria Park Community Centre."

There will be a chance for parents to familiarise themselves with the services that Diversity Voice offer and its partners including: Simpson Millar Solicitors and Citizens Advice Bureau.

Rafal Skarbek, CEO, said: "Apart from activities organised for children on that day we also invited a solicitor from Simpson Millar to run post Brexit presentation for parents and what they should do in terms of immigration rights.

"We invited the chairman of Sedgemoor Council, Ian Dyer to discuss future development of Hinkley Point C.

"I am very pleased this is 10 years that we have been running this activity and parents with children from across Somerset will come and celebrate this with us."
