VISITORS to the Victoria Park Community Centre Christmas Fair had a cracking start to the festive season.

The 1200 people who went along were treated to an afternoon with live Reindeer and a visit from Father Christmas.

This was the centre's first Christmas fair and took place on Saturday, November 26, with the Mayor and Mayoress of Bridgwater popping along.

The centre hopes that the fair will become annual.

The event's main attraction was the live Reindeer, and was supported by donations from Higos Insurance services Ltd, Bridgwater Town Council and Cornhill Green Grocers.

A spokesperson for the centre said: "Over 1200 people attended the event with over 500 visiting Father Christmas and feeding the Reindeer.

"We would like to thank all those who attended the event and made it such a success."
