HAVE you ever looked at a piece of modern art and thought 'I could do better than that'?
Well a number of amateur 'artists' have tried their hand and here are some of the best efforts that have been shortlisted has been announced for this year's spoof art award The Turnip Prize.
The award, which values lack of effort combined with some super wordplay, and has gathered quite a cult following since it was first launched 18 years ago after Tracy Emin's unmade bed won The Turner Prize.
The prize is run by Trevor Prideaux and the team at The New Inn in Wedmore, and the winner of this year's contest will take place in the pub at 6.30pm on Monday, December 5.
