BRIDGWATER'S British Flag Carnival Club presented a cheque of more than £300 to Cancer Research following the club's Mouse Race earlier this year.
Gavin Roberts, chairman of Bridgwater Friends of Cancer Research UK said: "It was humbling to see the club looking to give back even in a year where they had to leave their previous building shed, needing to relocate and rebuild."
The club are still looking for donors to become a part of the club's history by 'buying a brick' where you can have a plaque on the shed once it has been built.
Individual donors are priced at £20 with corporate donors £100. For more details please contact a club member or call Martyn Allen on 07960 081512.
In June the club said goodbye to their Colley Lane venue after 60 years of building there.
The club has found a new site and is seeking planning permission but is falling short of the amount they need to finish the new shed.
