THE South West’s newest agricultural and country specialist store is preparing to welcome customers with a fanfare this month.

The Wynnstay Agricentre at Sedgemoor, Bridgwater, is currently having the finishing touches put to its new look before being officially unveiled as the latest site in the growing chain on September 24.

It will be the ninth Wynnstay Agricentre store, which offer a wide range of pet, equine, horticultural and clothing ranges, alongside specialist agricultural products and services, including access to seed, feed, fertilisers, grain trading and livestock products and the specialist advice to support them.

The conversion from what was formerly the Bartletts Country Store has been taking place while the store has remained open and trading. The work will be completed later this month, in time for it’s official relaunch with the open day.

The day will be marked with ten per cent discounts across most products and refreshments for all, as well as having experts from the group’s retail, feed and arable divisions on site to have a chat and share advice.

Wynnstay’s sheep and beef farming product catalogues will also be freely available for customers to collect and take away to browse.

Retail director for Wynnstay, Andrew Evans, said: “We’re really looking forward to unveiling our new-look Sedgemoor store to our customers.

"We have managed to keep it open while the refit and rebranding has been carried out, but this will be our chance to invite everyone in to see it in all of its glory, with the added bonus of refreshments, special offers and our experts being on hand to mingle with.

“With 18,000 square feet of retail space we aim to cater for a wide range of customer needs and have a large selection of product lines across home, garden, smallholding and farming, as well as our pet and equine ranges. We’re hoping September 24 will be busy and have a great buzz to it!”

The new store is joining a line-up of existing sites in Calne, Evercreech near Shepton Mallet, High Ham near Langport, Honiton, Newport Isle of Wight, Redhill near Bristol, Salisbury and Sturminster Newton in Dorset.
