A COW was rescued from a water filled Rhyne by the fire brigade.
Crews rushed to Jacks Drove, Heath House in Wedmore at 1:15am on June 21 after receiving reports from the RSPCA.
Fire control mobilised one appliance from Cheddar, as well as the specialist rescue team from Bridgwater.
When they arrived, crews confirmed one cow located in a water filled ditch.
They secured the scene and waited for the specialist team to arrive.
At 2:13am, crews confirmed one cow was rescued using lines and strops.
