THE Walled Gardens of Cannington provided the perfect backdrop for a fantastic summer fair.

The event was held on Sunday between 10am and 4pm and there was plenty to see and do with games, face painting, a bouncy castle, special trails though the gardens, live music and much more.

The event coincided with Father's Day and was a great chance to marvel at the spectacular colour and wildlife the Gardens, which are located off Church Street, have to offer.

Visitors enjoyed the delicious delights cooked up on the various food stands and there were lots of family activities on offer, plus the Bubble Man was back by popular demand.

The Walled Gardens have a number of upcoming events and outdoor theatre performances throughout the summer, including Macbeth, this week on Wednesday and Thursday at 7pm, plus Gulliver’s Travels, Teddy Bears’ Picnic, The Smartest Giant in Town and The Canterbury Tales across July and August.

Tickets are available from the Gardens’ Gift Shop or website in advance or on the day, for more information go to http://www.canningtonwalledgardens.co.uk/events.
