A LEADING South West accountancy firm has announced the expansion of its Bridgwater office.

Accountancy company Albert Goodman will be creating a new larger office at Sedgemoor Auction Centre in order to extend its business along the M5 corridor and into North Somerset.

The team based in Bridgwater will now be able to offer a full range of accountancy, business advisory and tax services, in addition to strengthening its agricultural specialism.

The seven year lease is the next step in Albert Goodman’s growth strategy, building upon the opening of larger offices in Weston-Super-Mare and a recent merger with successful North Somerset accountancy practice, T P Lewis & Partners.

Commenting on the expansion, Managing Partner, Richard Bugler, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our office in Bridgwater.

"This represents further commitment to providing our full range of services throughout Somerset and beyond. "Bridgwater is a thriving town, with many fantastic businesses, and this expansion means we can offer even higher levels of client services.”

Founding partner Albert Goodman established the firm in Taunton in 1866 and now employs more than 250 staff with offices in Taunton, Chard, Yeovil, Bridgwater, Weston-super-Mare, Weymouth, Burnham-on-Sea and Wedmore and a turnover of more than £12 million.
