There were two resolutions for members to consider this year, concerning reducing food waste by supermarkets and improving hospital in-patient care for dementia patients.
Members heard the arguments for and against both resolutions before voting by show of hands.
The results will be forwarded to a link WI to vote on our behalf at the National AGM later this year.
The annual report and financial statement were presented and adopted unanimously by members.
The president gave the address and thanked the committee for their hard work this year and the existing committee agreed to continue for another year.
This year the President’s Cup Award was presented to Pam Stathers in recognition of her dedication and commitment to the group, and a raffle raised £78 for the charity of the year, Hope for Tomorrow.
Members could sign up for a range of activities that include a vineyard tour and a number of theatre trips.
