A BRIDGWATER man with a 'passion for writing' has successfully published his first novel.

Adam Butt, 22, released his book, The Story of Wittenborough, and is keen for his local community to get behind him and show their support.

Adam said: "I am aged 22 and I have lived in Bridgwater all of my life.

"I attended Bridgwater College for five years and I have graduated from there with a media degree.

"I have a keen interest in writing and The Story of Wittenborough is my first novel that has been published.

"You can purchase it on Amazon, the Waterstones website and the Olympia Publishers website."

Adam has worked on videos and filming as well as penning his book.

"I have shot a promo for The Jean Rees Centre and that is a centre that helps people with learning difficulties," he added.

"It is situated near Chilton Trinity.

"I have been part of a crew that shot a film called The Keys To Our Mind that is to do with dementia.

"I have helped shoot certain things for the Durleigh Sailing Club and I helped shoot promotional corporate videos for the Somerset Business Awards.

"I attended the BFI Film Academy at The Engine Room and I got a Silver Arts Award for doing that.

"Then I made my first independent short film that had a budget that was entitled The Spy Thing.

"I wrote most of the script for it and came up with the basic ideas, concept and premise of it.

"I made it with other BFI alumni.

"The films I had made previously had no budget as some of them were college films and some of them were films that I made whilst attending the BFI Film Academy.

"I enjoy film making, editing and being behind the camera but my main passion is my writing and to be known as an established author."
