Members of Marina Sydenham Juvenile Carnival Club were delighted to receive a donation from Natwest Bank.

Sally Venning who is one of the club's vice presidents currently works Bridgwater branch and for the last few years, Natwest given a donation towards the children's carnival club.

This year, £250 was given in a cheque presentation with Sally, on behalf of Mr M Goodman, Local CEO, Somerset Area of Natwest Bank.

The moneys come as part of their Community Awards Fund.

Mel Palmer, club secretary, said: "It is absolutely fantastic and very much appreciated.

"We have now finished our carnival circuit and are proud of our achievement in winning all seven carnivals in our category.

"We have won the County Cup for Class six Juvenile, Cup for Best Juvenile costume and cup for Best original Juvenile idea.

"We work very hard as a club and thank all our members, parents, helpers, supporters, vice presidents and life members.

"We are particularly thankful to Natwest Bank for their very generous donation of £250."
