Bridgwater’s Carnival Concerts begin this Monday and run for two glorious weeks of high tempo entertainment in the Town Hall until October 17.

In the words of Bridgwater Carnival’s Dave Stokes, the concerts are “the West End in Somerset.”

The concerts are a chance for the clubs to put on a show with song and dance, providing nights of fun for their supports and perhaps most important a fundraiser for the carnival itself.

And it’s not just the clubs with their big set piece show stopping numbers but a large number of individual performers who intersect the main acts in front of the curtain.

Paul Savage is the evening’s compere and should you miss the first week the programme changes completely for week two.

The fun starts at 7pm, and tickets are still available from the Carnival Centre and Angel Place.
